Bruce Carr, O.D.

Dr. Carr is an undergraduate from Brigham Young University 1990 and a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry 1994. Letter of Clinical excellence University of Houston College of Optometry 1992-94. Member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, Sacramento Valley Optometric Association. Past-President of the North Bay Optometric Association. Co-chair of the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce Education Committee. Dr. Carr loves Vacaville for the same reasons Dr. Carney does. Dr. Carr loves being near the beach and the mountains. He is actively involved in the community through the Boy Scouts of America program, his church youth group, and coaching different sports in the community. Dr. Carr enjoys meeting and talking to people and that's why he enjoys being an optometrist. He loves seeing people year after year and seeing how they grow and progress. He likes the changes in the industry, such as LASER vision correction. Having had LASER vision correction himself, he is good at helping people understand the procedure and deciding if it's right for them.

Michael E. Carney, OD

Dr. Carney is a 1970 honors graduate of the School of Optometry, University of California, Berkeley, and Past President, North Bay Society of the California Optometric Association. Outstanding Young Optometrist of the Year, California Optometric Association. Member of the American Optometric Association. Past Director, Vacaville Chamber of Commerce. When Dr. Carney first came to Vacaville, it only had 12,000 people. But, the people were friendly and he decided to stay. He's glad he did because even though Vacaville is approaching 100,000, it still maintains its small town atmosphere. He loves Vacaville because of it's weather and location. He has lived and raised his kids in Vacaville for over 30 years. Dr. Carney loves being an optometrist because he gets to talk to and meet new people every day. He loves being able to help people achieve excellent eye health and loves being able to get to know people and their interests. According to Dr. Carney, "Fun is the people."
